Ian Duff
B.Com C.A.

The environment we have today allows me to do what I do best, and that is creating relationships, fostering them, and adding value to my clients expectations and needs.

Our team supports me with the mechanical processes, allowing me to work closely with my clients on their future strategic direction and to help them achieve, and exceed their financial independence.

After qualifying from Auckland University in 1977 I led a somewhat nomadic existence. I spent five years in London with Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) working on insolvencies. During holidays, I travelled the continent in the traditional VW Combi, met my future wife Michelle, and saw the sights of which all New Zealanders' dream. I returned to New Zealand in 1982, and worked with Kendon Cox specializing in liquidations, receiverships and company restructuring.

My nomadic existence continued.... I then partnered with a previous client as Finance Director for a large boat building company, focusing on exports to the USA and Europe. In 1987 I re-joined PWC until I finally settled down. Starting my own business in the early 1990s was initially a reality check, a possible gamble for someone whose profession normally dictates conservative behaviour and risk management.

Socially, yes I am a golfer, love tennis (both playing and watching), rugby (now only watching) and spending time with Michelle my wife, and our three children.

My passion and interest is in financial structuring, business profitability, strategic planning, and investment.
